Beschreibung

Bei Salsa Cubana ist für alle etwas dabei: grossartige Musik, vielfältige Rhythmen und eine reichhaltige Geschichte und Kultur, welche euch durch die Songtexte vermittelt werden. Ihr braucht nur ein paar Grundschritte, um als Paar tanzen zu können. Danach könnt ihr jede der spielerischen, leicht drehenden Figuren erlernen, welche typisch für Salsa Cubana sind. Dieser Tanz öffnet euch die Tür zu verwandten kubanischen Tanzstilen wie dem Son, der Rumba oder dem Gruppentanz «Rueda de Casino». Salsa Cubana vermittelt das karibische Feeling, nachdem wir uns alle sehnen – also kommt, und tanzt mit uns!

Salsa 1:
Auf Kursstufe 1 werdet ihr in die Grundschritte und das Zählsystem der Salsa Cubana eingeführt. Ihr lernt, euch im offenen und geschlossenen Grundschritt als Paar zu bewegen. Zudem werden wir euch «dile que no» und «dile que si» zeigen, damit ihr elegant zwischen den Grundschritten wechseln könnt. Schliesslich werdet Ihr «enchufla» (Linksdrehung) und «enchufla para siempre» (mehrere Linksdrehungen) lernen.

Bei Salsa Cubana ist für alle etwas dabei: sangliche Melodien, treibende Rhythmen und eine reichhaltige Geschichte und Kultur. Geübt werden zu Beginn die spielerischen, leicht drehenden und dann natürlich die berühmten, komplex verknoteten Figuren. Ist das erst einmal gemeistert, könnt ihr zu zweit das kubanische Lebensgefühl geniessen oder aber als Gruppe in der Rueda de Casino eure Fähigkeiten gemeinsam zur Schau stellen. Und als wäre das nicht genug, öffnet Salsa die Tür zu anderen verwandten lateinamerikanischen Tanzstilen wie Son Cubano, Merengue, Bolero und vielen mehr!

Auf Kursstufe 1 werdet ihr in die Grundschritte und den Rhythmus der Salsa Cubana eingeführt. Ihr lernt, euch im offenen und geschlossenen Grundschritt als Paar zu bewegen – entweder als Leader oder Follower. Zudem werdet ihr die ersten Drehungen und Figuren lernen und wie ihr elegant zwischen den Grundschritten wechseln könnt. Nebenbei führen wir euch in die Rueda de Casino ein.

Heidi and Tristan made the course a lot of fun and explained all the new steps, figures and turns with a lot of enthusiasm, detail and patience. This was a great way to get a taste of dancing salsa.

Very interesting course. The title "beyond Salsa" captures it well. You get introduced to other Cuban dance forms that you can integrate into your Salsa dancing.

Leonor and Ilya teach an excellent course. The transition from Salsa 2 to Salsa 3 is certainly not an easy one and the learning curve can be steep at times. However, Leonor and Ilya make it a piece of cake. They are always happy and eager to check your style, explain steps, or give tips to improve your musicality. I can't wait for Salsa 4!

Leonor Kotoun & Ilya Vasilenko are very dedicated teachers and good dancers. They organise the Salsa class in a very varied way and attach great importance to developing a good sense of rhythm.

Very useful if you want to learn more pasitos and choreo parts to implement into your dance. It was fun and insightful to also take some time to focus on isolations and details that do not get enough attention during the regular classes.

The true culmination of Salsa courses. Ilya and Leonor are amazing teachers: They know (and feel) their stuff and they are always fun yet concentrated. The pace is demanding but doable.

Lena and Robin are fantastic teachers, they make dancing salsa fun! The ambience in the class was very relaxed while a lot of cool new figures were introduced and the progress was fairly fast paced. Bonus points for the personalized feedback and tips.
