Beschreibung

Pendulum swing is one of the important characteristic ingredients for the English Waltz, and similar swing actions are essential in the Quickstep and the Viennese Waltz, making the difference between just doing steps and dancing with the whole body. Understanding and practicing this kind of movement will help you to bring your dancing to the next level, and we thus devote a dedicated workshop to this topic.

Prerequisites:
- knowledge of basic steps in Slow Waltz, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz.
- interest in discovering a more energetic, swinging, and sportive way of dancing these dances.

As always, Chris presents interesting material that fits well to the groups abilities. It’s awesome to have this kind of advanced courses, which (together with the technique trainings on Fridays) create this group of dancers who want to improve together.

The Quickstep course was super fun, we learned a good amount of figures and had time to practice them. We also learned a bit about the 'character' of the dance.

Chris hat ein grosses Theoriewissen und streut es in guten Maße in seine Kurse ein. Nicht zu viel, nicht zu wenig, gerade genug dass es interessant ist, man nicht nur die Schritte lernt, sondern auch lernt wie sie zusammen spielen sollen, und was sich auf andere Tänze übertragen lässt.

The dance course strikes the perfect balance between reviewing figures, improving technique and focusing on the variety that ballroom dancing has to offer. I greatly enjoyed every session of the course & look forward to the next course! Chris is an excellent teacher!

This is a fantastic course, I have learned so much, particularly how figures can be combined, when they can be danced, and how to dance them well. I also really enjoyed the explanations of concepts like swing and different energies of the steps within figures. Chris brings so much positive energy and happiness to his classes, which makes it even more enjoyable to learn and improve. There was also lots of individual feedback and input from the class.
