Description

In this course we will introduce some technical elements useful for social dance, some new figures and end each session with a supervised open practice, where technical elements can be practiced and questions can be asked.

Since we will be focusing more on elements of successful leading and following, no specific set of dance moves is mandatory. Nonetheless, a base understanding of standard and latin dances should be given.

The Ballroom Open Level courses let you discover the familiar dances from Ballroom 1-6 from a new perspective. Go beyond the basic figures of the dances, and experience characteristic movements and body actions of the dances, beyond just doing steps.

In diesem Kurs habe ich diverse neue Figuren und Variationen von Figuren, die ich schon kannte, gelernt. Chris ist hervorragend im Erklären der Figuren, ich habe viel gelernt. Gerne wieder!

As always, Chris presents interesting material that fits well to the groups abilities. It’s awesome to have this kind of advanced courses, which (together with the technique trainings on Fridays) create this group of dancers who want to improve together.

The dance course strikes the perfect balance between reviewing figures, improving technique and focusing on the variety that ballroom dancing has to offer. I greatly enjoyed every session of the course & look forward to the next course! Chris is an excellent teacher!

This is a fantastic course, I have learned so much, particularly how figures can be combined, when they can be danced, and how to dance them well. I also really enjoyed the explanations of concepts like swing and different energies of the steps within figures. Chris brings so much positive energy and happiness to his classes, which makes it even more enjoyable to learn and improve. There was also lots of individual feedback and input from the class.
