TimeThe origins of tango can be traced back to the cultural melting pot that formed on the Río de la Plata in the second half of the 19th century. It is an improvised dance that is danced in couples at social events called milongas.
This basic course provides a first insight into tango and teaches the basics to be able to move on the about in couple to different tango rhythms: forward step, side steps, backward step, weight change and embrace. Another focus is on dance posture, weight transfer from the standing leg to the free leg and walking in couple. In addition, you will learn how to build upon a chosen basic sequence by adding elements like the "cruzado" (cross) and the "rebote " (rebound).
