TimeThe Slox Foxtrot can be considered as the quintessential English ballroom dance. Its long, flowing movements create a very elegant appearance and an impression of continuous progression. This is supported by performing turning figures in a seemingly casual manner without putting the focus on the rotary action.
In this workshop, we cover variations of a turning action that is very typical for the slowfox, the so-called heel turn. We give special attention to the position after the turn: inside, outside, promenade? And how to lead the different cases or recognize them as a follower?
In the workshop, there will be enough time to, on the one hand, revisit the basics of the slowfox and, on the other hand, to give input on advanced topics such as technique or musicality. Thus, you are welcome to join independently of your prior level of knowledge of slowfox if you have at least approximately 1 year of general dancing experience.
