Description

This advanced salsa course is designed for dancers who have completed at least TQ Salsa Course 5 and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Beyond Salsa 6 goes beyond memorizing patterns and focuses on mastering the flow and creativity within salsa dancing. To do so, we will look at musicality, such as syncing our dancing with the music, accentuating key moments, and adjusting the energy to match the rhythm. Furthermore, we will also explore elements from other Cuban Dances such as Son Cubano, Rumba Guaguancó, Yuka, and other popular dances, for more authentic Cuban Salsa movement skills. The course aims to help you develop self-confidence in body movements and create dynamic, engaging, and fun salsa dancing.

Very interesting course. The title "beyond Salsa" captures it well. You get introduced to other Cuban dance forms that you can integrate into your Salsa dancing.

Absolutely amazing class! Both teachers think a lot about their teaching and are at the same time experts in Salsa. Highly recommed.

Leonor and Ilya teach an excellent course. The transition from Salsa 2 to Salsa 3 is certainly not an easy one and the learning curve can be steep at times. However, Leonor and Ilya make it a piece of cake. They are always happy and eager to check your style, explain steps, or give tips to improve your musicality. I can't wait for Salsa 4!

Leonor Kotoun & Ilya Vasilenko are very dedicated teachers and good dancers. They organise the Salsa class in a very varied way and attach great importance to developing a good sense of rhythm.

Leonor is an amazing dancer but also an amazing teacher! She has a huge knowledge of Cuban culture and dances, and always came to class super prepared. The lessons were very structured but also a lot of fun! Would love to take more workshops like this with her :)

The true culmination of Salsa courses. Ilya and Leonor are amazing teachers: They know (and feel) their stuff and they are always fun yet concentrated. The pace is demanding but doable.

Ilya and Leonor are great teachers with a keen focus on musicality. At the same time, their course is lighthearted and very enjoyable. Definitely recommended!

Leonor and Ilya were phenomenal teachers, infusing the class with boundless energy. Their clear explanations of body movements and Cuban motion made the figures a breeze to follow. Rueda de Casino was a blast! Can't wait to dance with them again!

A wonderful course with an incredibly funny atmosphere by Robin and Ylia. I liked the figures and the Rueda de Casino parts, the lead changes, the styling options and the energy! :D
