Description

In this course, we dive into the world of Cuban Son. As an introductory course, it provides you with the fundamentals of this traditional dance – from its characteristic rhythm and essential knowledge about Son to the basic figures. Additionally, we will show you how to incorporate elements of Son into your Salsa dancing to enrich your style.

This course is ideal for those who already dance Cuban Salsa and want to explore a new dimension of Cuban dance.

The prerequisite for this course is that you have completed at least Salsa 3 at TQ. But no prior knowledge of Son is required.

Absolutely amazing class! Both teachers think a lot about their teaching and are at the same time experts in Salsa. Highly recommed.

Very interesting course. The title "beyond Salsa" captures it well. You get introduced to other Cuban dance forms that you can integrate into your Salsa dancing.

Leonor and Ilya teach an excellent course. The transition from Salsa 2 to Salsa 3 is certainly not an easy one and the learning curve can be steep at times. However, Leonor and Ilya make it a piece of cake. They are always happy and eager to check your style, explain steps, or give tips to improve your musicality. I can't wait for Salsa 4!

Leonor Kotoun & Ilya Vasilenko are very dedicated teachers and good dancers. They organise the Salsa class in a very varied way and attach great importance to developing a good sense of rhythm.

The true culmination of Salsa courses. Ilya and Leonor are amazing teachers: They know (and feel) their stuff and they are always fun yet concentrated. The pace is demanding but doable.

Leonor and Ilya were phenomenal teachers, infusing the class with boundless energy. Their clear explanations of body movements and Cuban motion made the figures a breeze to follow. Rueda de Casino was a blast! Can't wait to dance with them again!

Leonor is an amazing dancer but also an amazing teacher! She has a huge knowledge of Cuban culture and dances, and always came to class super prepared. The lessons were very structured but also a lot of fun! Would love to take more workshops like this with her :)

A wonderful course with an incredibly funny atmosphere by Robin and Ylia. I liked the figures and the Rueda de Casino parts, the lead changes, the styling options and the energy! :D
