Unfortunately, CAB food&lab reserves the right to cancel our reservation on short notice in favor of other ETH events, e.g. department aperos.

In case of a cancellation, we will let you know as soon as possible. We will try to offer a replacement lesson at the end of the course period. If we can not manage to compensate for the cancellation, you can send an email to anmeldungen@tanzquotient.org to get a Tanzquotient voucher as a partial refund.

Description

During the social courses, we will teach you the basics of ballroom dancing. Ballroom dances are partner dances that are mainly popular in Europe and consist of two categories: Standard and Latin.

What you are going to learn

You are going to learn two new dances: Rumba and English Tango. Additionally, new figures for all four dances from Social 1 (Discofox, Cha Cha, Jive & English Waltz) will be introduced.

Requirements for the course

Sehr cooler Kurs, ich fand die Beiden leitenden Personen sehr Kompetent und eingespielt. Sie haben einem immer weitergeholfen und haben die Schritte sehr ausführlich erklärt. Was ich ebenfalls sehr toll fand, ist, dass sie bereits etwas auf die Form und Technik eingegangen sind und nicht nur gezeigt haben in welcher Reihenfolge man die Schritte machen muss.

Thore and Marina are great teachers! It's easy to follow their explanations; they have found a good balance between dry runs and dancing to music, all while providing just the right amount of feedback. They're also approachable and fun. I would definitely join one of their courses again.

Super Kurs, hat richtig Spass gemacht. Die Lehrer sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, die Stimmung war gut. Hätte nicht erwartet in 4h so weit zu kommen. Würde es jedem empfehlen (Achtung, macht Bock auf mehr!).

Es ist eine Mischung aus Wiederholung ( da gewisse Figuren bereits je nach Lehrer:in behandelt wurde) Und zugleich kam Neues dazu. Das war eine super Mischung.

Ich habe schon mehrere Kurse bei Tim und Irina besucht, die alle sehr unterhaltsam und lehrreich waren. Die Beiden sind ein gut eingespieltes Team und haben einen angenehmen Erklärungsstil.

Tim und Irina sind sehr gut eingestimmt als Tanzpaar und ihre Leidenschaft für den Tanz ist ansteckend. Klar präsentierte Schritte und immer hilfsbereit bei Rückfragen! Der Tanzkurs hat sehr viel Spass gemacht!

Great teachers! It is the Basics. To make progress and not to forget everything in a week, you have to exercisse at home with the vidoes provided. Or take advantage of the sessions on friday.

I highly recommend this course, beginners and people who had prior experience all seemed to profit and have a good time. The teachers are competent and very friendly.

Sehr guter Kurs und Lehrpersonen. Gehen indivuell auf die Teilnehmer ein. Passen das Tempo der Gruppe an. Geben viele Freiheiten, was gelernt bzw. repetiert wird.

A steep learning curve from Ballroom 2 to Ballroom 3 through the addition of Quickstep and Viennese Waltz, but with the help of Irina and Tim it was manageable. Their patience and elaborate explanations helped immensly! Looking forward to their Ballroom 4 course :)
