Description

Like the name suggests, has Salsa Cubana its origin in Cuba. There it formed from a combination of Son, Cha-Cha-Cha and Rumba and became the dance of the less wealthy population.

Today in Switzerland you can find Salsa parties all over the place, including Salsa Cubana. In this course we will not only teach you how to do figures, but also what the music is composed of, how you move your whole body to the rhythm and most importantly, how to enjoy the whole combination. Next to the dance, we will also try to teach you the relaxed atmosphere of cuba so that you'll be ready at all times to dance and enjoy.

The course builds on what we looked at in our Salsa Cubana 1&2 course: Basico, Enchoufla, Setenta, Dile que No (variations), and Sombrero.

Welcome to our course in Salsa Cubana! Agua!

In course level 3 we repeat the basic patterns and figures from previous courses and show you how to link them together. After this course, you will be able to dance a whole Salsa song through without boring yourself or your dancing partner (😉). In case you have not done Salsa 1&2 – to enter Salsa 3 you should know:

Leonor and Ilya teach an excellent course. The transition from Salsa 2 to Salsa 3 is certainly not an easy one and the learning curve can be steep at times. However, Leonor and Ilya make it a piece of cake. They are always happy and eager to check your style, explain steps, or give tips to improve your musicality. I can't wait for Salsa 4!

I think Tristan and Heidi are very good at teaching. I truly love the positive energy they create every time I go to dance, I am always excited to go to the salsa class ! They really are attentive to our needs, they smile a lot and teach very well, breaking down the movements so that we can learn efficiently. Other than that, I also believe that they are wonderful people with a kind soul, which makes the overall learning experience very pleasant. I hope that they teach salsa until level 6 ^^.
