Short Description
Slow Foxtrot is one of the most difficult dances—and one of the most beautiful at all. In three lessons we get to know the most important basics of this particular dance and acquire basic skills to apply it on social dance floors.
Part 1: Around the Floor
In contrast to other dances, certain basic technical skills are indispensable in Slow Foxtrot: rise and fall, rotations, and heel turns, which ultimately make up the unique character of this beautiful dance. We get to know these basics and apply them in our first basic figures: Feather Step, Three Step, Natural Turn, and Closed Impetus.
Part 2: Turning Left
Equipped with the basic elements from the first part, which are briefly repeated in the beginning, we get to know reverse turning movements, thereby adding some variety to the dance: Reverse Turn and Change of Direction.
Part 3: Weaves
Apart from the Feather Step, there are hardly any figures more typical for Slox Foxtrot than the Weaves. After a brief repetition of the contents of Part 1 and 2, we complement our figure repertoire with Basic and Natural Weave.
