About the Workshops

Each Friday we will offer you lessons focusing on one dance you will need to know if you participate at the the ETDS. However, ETDS participation is not a requirement and the classes are open to everyone.

From 18:00 to 19:15 there will be a beginners class where you can learn the basic steps and everything essential about the dance. We highly recommend all "Beginners" in our ETDS group to participate.

This will be followed at 19:30 to 20:45 by a class about the technique of the dance and about what makes each dance special. This is open for any levels, however we especially recommend it for the "Breitensport" dancers at the ETDS.

Finally beginning at 20:45 there will be an open practice where you will be able to practice not only what you just learned in the workshops but also all the other standard/latin dances and even get a feeling of what awaits you at the ETDS.

About the Teachers

Daniel Steinmann is one of the most successful dancers in Switzerland and has decades of experience training hobby dancers and competition couples of all ages and levels.

Joep Mutsaerts is an experienced competition dancer with a passion for teaching. He participated at previous ETDS events and will be there this year as dancer and judge.

Important Notes

You must have a valid ASVZ membership to participate (note as ETH or UZH student you will automatically have that). To enter the building you will have to register for the class and at the entrance show the confirmation email you receive.
