Kurzbeschreibung
1–2–3 – das ist doch Mathematik und hat mit Musik wenig zu tun? Grundsätzlich schon, doch die Standardtänze orientieren sich nicht am Rhythmus, sondern an Takt und Melodie – was Spielraum für Musikalität und Interpretation lässt.
Wir betrachten am Beispiel des English Waltz, wie dieser Spielraum genutzt werden kann: Die theoretischen Grundlagen werden diskutiert, tänzerische Möglichkeiten der Umsetzung erörtert und in Gruppen eine kurze Choreografie mit dem Fokus „Musikalität“ erarbeitet und präsentiert.

Short Description
1–2–3—that is mathematics and has little to do with music? Basically yes, but the standard dances are not based on rhythm, but on bars and melody—which leaves room for musicality and interpretation.
Using the example of the English Waltz, we look at how this leeway can be used: The theoretical basics are discussed, possibilities of implementation in dancing are reasoned, and a short choreography with the focus on musicality is developed and presented in groups.
